1. About this Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Forest Products Exchange Limited (FPX) uses cookies, browser storage and similar technologies on the public FPX website at www.fpx.nz. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
2. What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small pieces of data that a website can store in your browser. Websites can also use related browser technologies such as local storage and session storage. These technologies can help a website operate correctly, remember choices, improve usability and, where enabled, measure usage.
3. What FPX currently uses
The public FPX website uses limited browser storage for website functionality and preferences. This includes storing the website privacy choice and, where enabled, remembering that the FPX introductory animation has already been shown.
FPX also offers optional website analytics using Google Analytics 4. Analytics is disabled unless you choose to allow it through the cookie banner or Cookie Settings. FPX does not intentionally load non-essential advertising trackers through FPX website code.
4. Strictly necessary technologies
Strictly necessary technologies support functions such as security, form operation, session management and recording your privacy choices. These technologies cannot be switched off through FPX Cookie Settings where they are required for the website to operate or remember your privacy decision.
5. Preference technologies
Preference technologies remember choices that improve your experience but are not essential to the core operation of the website. For example, FPX may remember whether you have already seen the introductory site animation.
You can allow or decline preference storage through Cookie Settings.
6. Analytics
FPX uses Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to help understand how visitors use the public website. When you enable Analytics, the Google Analytics tag may use cookies or similar identifiers and process website usage and technical information such as pages viewed, interactions, device or browser information, and approximate geographic information.
Analytics is optional and is disabled unless you choose to enable it. FPX configures the public website so advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation are not granted through the FPX consent controls. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time through Cookie Settings.
7. Marketing technologies
Marketing technologies may be used by websites to measure advertising or personalise marketing. FPX does not currently intentionally load non-essential advertising trackers through its public website code. If that changes, this policy and Cookie Settings will be updated.
8. Third-party websites and services
The FPX website contains links to external services, including FPX Sourcing at app.fpx.nz and social platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. When you follow an external link, that service may use its own cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy and cookie terms. FPX does not control technologies used by third-party websites.
9. Managing your choices
You can review or change FPX website preferences and analytics consent at any time through Cookie Settings. If you turn Analytics off, FPX stops enabling Google Analytics measurement through its website code and attempts to remove FPX-domain Google Analytics cookies that are accessible to the website. Most browsers also allow you to block or delete cookies and website storage. Blocking all browser storage may affect website functionality.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this Cookie Policy when our website technology changes. The current version will be published on this page with its last-updated date.
Questions about cookies, privacy or website data can be sent to support@fpx.nz.
